This is a vintage teapot shape marked sterling silver tea infuser made by Amcraft, USA between 1918-1938 and used to keep tea leaves from getting into your teacup while you brew a cup of tea.

The solid sterling silver tea infuser measures 1.25 inches high by 1.7 inch long by 1.15 inches in diameter with a ring and a 1.5 inch long sterling silver chain.

You lift out the lid that to open it, fill half full of tea leaves, close it and put in hot water in your tea cup and brew until the strength you want.

The tea infuser is in excellent used vintage condition.  So cute!
